Big Daisy

'Stump' reclaimed cork stool

$100 $310

On sale due to manufacturing fault. Please see videos/photos above. Although faint joins and marks are normal, you'll see these stools have very obvious joins/marks which do not meet our standards. As we are not happy with the production of these stools, we are selling them at a very reduced price.

Due to their low price, any additional freight must be covered if required (often necessary to rural areas). We will quote freight before sending so you have the option to cancel for a full refund should it exceed your budget.

Other than this, no refunds or cancellations will be permitted. At this price, sale is final.

Damage varies, we will send them at random.

Dimensions: 40x30cm

About: Pretty self-explanatory, the stump is a classic shape. Not hollow, it is super strong so can be used as a seat/plant stand/cup of tea or just to look pretty in a corner. Everyone loves a classic!

The Range:

I have been desperate to work with cork since learning about it's sustainable nature, and, since seeing the insanely beautiful cork flooring my parents have utilised in their new home!

Cork is harvested from cork trees, however, the tree is not cut down in the process. The bark is carefully removed from the trunk, a process which can be repeated every 8-9 years.

My manufacturer sources their cork from portugal. Once received they boil the cork to remove any nasties, after which the cork is cut into a variety of shapes to be used as cork stoppers (a product they specialise in). The off cuts from this cork are then granulated and repurposed into my beautiful 'Big Daisy' range

The 'Big Daisy' cork range cannot be exposed to water, cork is absorbant and this will discolour the product

100% recyclable

I am incredibly proud to produce a product made from a reclaimed material, the nature of this can cause marks and colour blemishes. Due to the repurposed nature of the cork, some shapes have visible join lines where pieces are joined together. Although we could have sourced new cork to create a more 'cookie cutter' perfect product, we are happy to accept these minor flaws in exchange for a more environmentally friendly option. In saying this, excessive marks/blemishes/cracking and join lines are not considered up to standard so please reach out with any concerns.
