These GRC troughs are a cost effective alternative to our vintage limestone troughs. Although they don't have the same unique character of our beautiful aged pieces, they are still beautiful in their own (slightly more symmetrical way). 

If you are wanting to use these as a planter or fountain PLEASE ensure you hire a professional, have us do it for you or do your research! We will not be held responsible for any damages incurred as a result of D.I.Y conversions. 

These pieces are safe to be used outside/in exposed positions. If your piece will be constantly exposed to water, please ensure the item is sealed adequately.

Services will be invoiced in 2-3 days once we have confirmed that the chosen service is suitable for the product purchased.

SEALING: Sealing your piece involves thoroughly scrubbing the internals with a wire brush and removing sediment with a vaccume. We then seal any large/open cracks or suspicious looking sections with either a cement render or sikaflex. Finally we apply 3-5 coats of Shalex clear rubber sealant. Your piece is filled with water for a minimum of 4 hours to check for leaks prior to sending. $50-$150, size dependant. Estimated 2-3 week turnaround

FOUNTAIN CONVERSION: Includes the above (only all fountains are rendered). Once sealed a hole is drilled to allow for power (10m long power cord). We install a pump with a single upright copper spout, this pump includes a 2 year warranty. You will be consulted re placement of the power cord and height of the spout. Once finished the fountain is run for a 4hr period to ensure no leaks are present. $500, estimated 3-5 week turnaround ** For dual or gooseneck spouts please contact us for a quote

DRAINAGE: If you would like a drainage hole added, this is complimentary. We will contact you to discuss placement. For sink waste installation please contact us for a quote/options

** We do our absolute best to ensure troughs are completely water tight when sealing and/or converting. On occasion however, small leaks can occur during transit as a result of rough movement during transport. If this does occur with your item, please use a clear sikalfex to fill the affected area, or contact us and we will provide some for you. If this is of concern, we are more than happy to provide a detailed D.I.Y pdf so you can treat your chosen trough yourself! Just email hello@bigdaisy.com.au

FREIGHT: Our website will estimate freight at check out, please feel free to contact us prior to purchase for a quote. It's quick and easy for us to whip up a quote for you and there's no hard feelings whether you do or don't proceed. If you have access to a commercial address with a forklift this can help reduce freight, alternatively troughs are delivered palletised via tail lift so that they can be unloaded with ease and rolled to a convenient location. Please note, drivers will not be able to manually position troughs or manoeuvre the pallets past obstacles such as stairs, steep hills or gravel.
