Big Daisy

Benic Pot

$258.13

The 'Benic' pot has a fun story behind it and draws inspiration from many different places.

The basis for the shape comes from an automated chicken feeder (of all things) that hung outside the window I sat at after having my first baby. If you stare at something long enough you start to either love it, or hate it, and I clearly loved the idea of this shape for a Big Daisy planter.

I've always been a fan of contrast (thus the glazed trays) and the detailing just added an element of fun. Much like some of the ceramic pieces I brought home from a trip to Grottaglie.

I love terracotta for its status as an environmentally friendly material, but also for its organic look and feel. Adding to this organic appearance is the fact that each pot is slightly unique. Being completely thrown and detailed by hand means that you really are getting your very own one-of-a-kind piece.

The terracotta has been sealed on the inside, they have drainage holes
